FA Cup: Hastings United v Harrogate Town - first 20 minutes

With 20 minutes gone at the Pilot Field there was little to choose between the two sides during an even opening quarter of the match with few chances at either end.

Hasitngs had a good chance in the first couple of minutes when Sean Ray’s looping header from Lee Carey’s left wing corner was gathered fairly comfortably by the Harrogate goalkeeper, Craig McGillvray above his head.

Harrogate had their first shot on target in the 22nd minute when Luke Dean forced Matt Armstrong–Ford to make a diving stop to his left. From the corner the ball was headed just wide by Tom Platt.

The Hastings goalkeeper was still struggling from knee injury sustained in the original meeting between the two teams as Josh Jirbandi took the goalkicks.

The only other effort note saw Danny Forrest shoot wide of the far post for Harrogate from outside the box.

The bumper crowd were doing their best to lift United and the game remains very much in the balance.
