Former Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest defender departs Crawley Town by mutual consent

Crawley Town have announced that defender Owen Gallacher has left the club by mutual consent.

The full-back joined the club at the start of the 2021/22 season and went on to make five appearances.

Gallacher joined National League side Gateshead on loan for the first half of the 2022/23 season, but has agreed to terminate his contract with the Reds upon the end of his spell at the Gateshead International Stadium.

The Newcastle-born defender made 11 National League appearances during his short stay at the Heed.

The 23-year-old came through the academy systems at Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest before a loan move to Harrogate Town in 2020, for whom he made his senior debut in the FA Trophy.

Gallacher joined League One outfit Burton Albion in the summer of 2020 and went on to make 12 appearances for the Brewers, before joining Crawley the following summer.
