Hastings and Bexhill games on, Westfield off

The two football matches involving senior clubs from the area this afternoon (Saturday) are set to go ahead.

Hastings United’s game away to Whitstable Town in Ryman Football League Division One South is on and so is Bexhill United’s visit from Lingfield in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One. Both will kick-off at 3pm.

Bexhill’s match has just got the all clear after two pitch inspections at The Polegrove. It will be only the second time the Pirates have been in action since way back on December 5.

Westfield’s scheduled visit from Ifield Galaxy in Southern Combination League Division Two, however, has been called-off due to a frozen pitch. It’s Westfield’s third successive postponement and they haven’t yet played a competitive game in 2016.

The majority of today’s Macron East Sussex Football League programme has been wiped out, although a handful of fixtures are on as things stand. See the full list below.
