Leach strike clinches another win

Rye United made it three consecutive victories and clean sheets on Saturday.

A first half goal from Danny Leach - his 14th of the season - gave the Quarterboys a 1-0 win at home to Wick in Division One of the Sussex County Football League.

In the same division, Sidley United recovered from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Crowborough Athletic thanks to Danny Spice and Jason Taylor.

Bexhill United’s 14-match unbeaten run in Division Two came to an end with a 4-2 loss at Mile Oak after conceding two late goals.

A Lewis Hole strike couldn’t prevent Little Common suffering a 5-1 defeat at home to leaders Lancing, while Westfield were held to a 1-1 draw at home to struggling Oakwood.
