The 21-year-old made his Reds debut coming on for the last 15 minutes for their defeat at Leyton Orient on Saturday.

That was after signing a short-term deal for a month at the Checkatrade Stadium on Friday.

Having had a youth career at Spurs, Southend United and Fulham, the youngster signed a professional deal at Craven Cottage at the age of 17.

The attacking player was released by the London club last summer when he joined League One side Fleetwood Town. He made eight appearances for the Cod Army, before being released in February and Della-Verde is now keen to show what he can do.

He said: “I can play wide on either flank or through the middle, I am happy with all three, but I was happy to come on and hopefully I can push on and get a start.

“Going from a free-agent to now playing for Crawley is good for me and I am happy with it, but my aim is to push for the starting 11 in every game.

“I knew a bit about the club, I knew people that played for the club and play for the club now, so I knew a bit about the club.

“I am here to help the team and help them to progress as much as they can. To help them win football matches and get games, which is good for me.

“I was happy at Fleetwood. I was playing a few games and I was enjoying the challenge, but obviously things didn’t work out, that’s football, now I am here at Crawley and it’s another challenge still in the Football League and I am happy to be here.

“I want to play every game that is available. If I am available on a Saturday or a Tuesday then I want to play every game. That’s my aim, that’s my ambition and hopefully if I work hard, I can do that.”

On what he will bring to Reds, the London-based player, who is friends with Bobson Bawling, added: “I’ll work hard for the team first and foremost, give my all for the club.

“I am an attacking player, I like to create chances, score goals and entertain.

“I don’t mind playing under pressure. Pressure can bring the best out of players or the worst, I am happy to play under pressure.

“It’s a good club, a good set of lads. The gaffer and assistant all the staff have been great with my since I have come in and hopefully I can give back to the club now.

“I haven’t been given a chance of how I want to play games. I am in the team and not coming out of team due to injuries that have happened to me in the past or manager changes etc.

“I has been quite hard, but I am happy to be here now and hopefully I can set a mark so I can be in the team every game.”
