Mullets set for busy end to the season

Arundel Football Club manager Brett Torode is desperate for his side to get back into action after their latest two games were postponed.

Mullets’ match at home to Selsey on Saturday and at St Francis Rangers on Tuesday were both called off owing to the snow.

Arundel, who last played on January 5, have 20 league matches left to play and are also in the last 16 of the John O’Hara Cup.

Torode said: “We’re going to be playing every weekend and midweek until the end of the season now. But it’s the likes of Rye and Peacehaven who I feel sorry for. They’re both on a good run in the FA Vase and are in other cup competitions, too. They’ll be struggling to fit in all of their games and will probably be playing three times a week.”

Mullets are due to host Dorking Wanderers on Saturday and then entertain Pagham on Tuesday.
