Selsey and Pagham win on road but Chichester crash again

Selsey and Pagham both enjoyed 3-2 victories away from home in division one of the Sussex League - but Chichester City's slide continued.

Selsey triumphed 3-2 at Lingfield to lift the pressure following a recent poor run of results. They move 11th - and a healthy 15 points clear of the bottom three.

Pagham’s challenge near the top of the first division continued with a win at Hailsham.

The Lions are just five points behind leaders Crawley Down, although the Crawley side have games in hand over everyone.

Their latest success was a 2-0 win over Chichester City which saw Adie Girdler’s team fall to 13th in the division.

There was a boost for Midhurst in division two - a 1-0 home win over bottom side Clymping courtesy of Phil Churchill’s goal. The victory came despite Luke Sheldrick’s red card.

All three of our thirtd-division sides lost.

Bosham crashed 4-2 at Newhaven, Sidlesham went down 7-0 at Saltdean and Barnham lost 3-1 at Broadbridge Heath.

West Sussex League highlights included a 7-0 win for Lavant at Capel.
