Torode’s loving life at Blues
Torode took over as boss in the summer and the club are on their way to meeting his target of a mid-table finish and a couple of cup runs.
Blues are seventh in County League Division 2 and he said: “I just hope we continue playing how we’ve been playing. We’ve become hard to beat and we’ve done okay since we lost three games in a row in September.

“Some players might go and play for £20 here and there but all we can offer is an excellent clubhouse and a good social side.
“I’m really enjoying it, though, and I really look forward to every Saturday.”
Blues have lost just one of their last 10 matches in all competitions and they host Mile Oak in the County League Division 2 Cup on Saturday – a competition Torode feels any side have a chance of winning.

“It’s going to be a really tough game on Saturday.
“Mile Oak are a similar side to us and are run on a similar basis, so they have a really good team spirit.
“But the Division 2 Cup is a realistic target and it’s a competition that we would love to win.”
Blues will be without midfielder Simon Clayton, who is unavailable for the next seven weeks, but Jason Wimbleton returns from suspension.
