'We put in a big shift today' - Crawley Town defender Nick Tsaroulla hails teammates after Scunthorpe draw
Crawley Town defender Nick Tsaroulla was ‘very proud’ of his teammates following their goalless draw away at Scunthorpe United this (Friday) afternoon in League Two.
The left-back put in an excellent display as the Reds halted their three-game losing run in the draw.
Tsaroulla said: "I’m very proud of us as a team coming from a long trip and not much rest. We put in a big shift today.
"Every game we go out there and try to give it everything we’ve got.
"This game was better than last game for us, but we need to start scoring and winning games."
Despite the hectic schedule Tsaroulla believes that the Reds will perform even through adversity.
He added: "It was tough, but we’ve got a lot of desire in this team.
"We could’ve played on no sleep. It doesn’t matter to us, we’re going to go out there and give everything we’ve got.
The Reds defender also praised Crawley Town boss John Yems for keeping faith in him.
The 22-year-old said: "I’m thankful for the gaffer for giving me the opportunity.
"I appreciate those kind words and I’m just trying to keep learning and keep working."
The Reds return to the People’s Pension Stadium on Easter Monday when they host Oldham Athletic in League Two.
And Tsaroulla is looking forward to the challenge.
The left-back added: "We’re looking forward to playing at home and we’re going to look to give everything we’ve got again."
