Annual Ladies Invitation at Haywards Heath Golf Club

The Ladies from Haywards Heath Golf Club recently invited guests to join them for the day at their annual Ladies Invitation.

The weather was kind, with the expected showers not putting in an appearance for the 52 ladies who took part and some excellent golf was played.

Following the golf, the ladies sat down to a delicious running buffet after which the prizes were awarded by the Ladies’ Captain, Kath Honeysett.

Nearest the Pin on the 7th was won by Fiona Corfield (HH) and on the 17th by Sandra Holman (HH). The Best Back Nine, with 21 points, was won by Mary Hall and Pam Dodge (Ifield). The Best Front Nine, also with 21 points, was won by Judi Fisher and Shell Foster (Ashford, Kent).

The format of the competition was Fourball Betterball off 7/8 handicap. In third place, with 39 points, were Liz Barrett and Ann Greatorex (Royal Blackheath). Scoring two better, with 41 points, in second place were Fiona Corfield and Valerie Budgen (East Brighton). With a magnificent 44 points, the winners were Marian Bulley and Gerri de Sausmarez (Hendon).
