Captains’ Drive-in at Cuckfield Golf Club
February came in with a bang as the Captains at Cuckfield Golf Centre took to the course for their Drive In. They were cheered on by over fifty stalwarts of the club who braved the early morning snow and biting winds.
The competition that followed was a 9 hole Florida Scramble and after a “shotgun” start 14 teams of four made their way around the course bringing home some fantastic scores. The winning team was led by Junior Captain Olly Dickman, with John Tyrrell, Elaine Violaris and Liz Arbon- Stuckle closely followed by retiring Ladies Captain, Hsien Power, Paul Milligan, Neil Sutherland and junior Natasha Arbon-Stuckle. the Runners Up on count back.
Steaming hot mugs of coffee and delicious bacon butties were a welcome treat back at the clubhouse. Here’s to a great year for the new Captains - Jim Blyth (Men), Judith Gallagher (Ladies), Patrick George (Seniors) and Olly Dickman (Juniors)
