It was hot and humid on Saturday afternoon, 19th July, when 56 members of Haywards Heath Golf Club set out to play the July Evening Mixed Fours competition, which is organised by the Entertainment Committee.

It was a bit overcast at times but suddenly a slight breeze began to cool the air and, on occasion, there was a small sprinkling of cooling rain. But we did not get the soaking that the forecasters had promised and we were very grateful for that.

The competition format for the day was Foursomes and the afternoon produced some good scores. The course was in fantastic condition, due to the hard work of our wonderful greens keeping team. The competition followed in the evening with prize presentation and a lovely meal prepared by our resident chef.
