Jo wins the Gross Championship at Haywards Heath Golf Club

Early in July, on a hot Summer day, 20 of the Haywards Heath Golf Club ladies set out to play in the Ladies’ Championship.

his is a 36-hole stroke play competition for the most prestigious award of the ladies golfing year.

The final results saw Jo Kernohan winning the Gross Championship with a total for the two rounds of 165, followed in second place by Rebecca Dawson with 171 and Meg James in third place on countback also with 171.

The results for the Nett Competition were Rebecca Dawson in 1st place with nett 141 for the two rounds, Aisling Cloonan in second place on countback, also with nett 141 and in 3rd place Meg James with nett 145.
