It was a beautiful sunny afternoon on Friday 31st July when 33 couples set out to play for the Dick Heaver Salvers. In the evening everyone returned to the Club for a feast of Steak and Ale Pie, which had been one of Dick’s favourites.

Prior to the meal, the presentation was made to the winners by Margaret Heaver, herself a former Ladies’ Captain of the Club. The winners, with 40 points, were Liz Barrett and Andy Crook.
