Mid Sussex Ladies section hold annual Ladies Open

The Ladies Section held their annual Ladies Open and 96 ladies from 21 different clubs took to the course in glorious summer sunshine on Thursday, June 19.

The Ladies Open is always a very popular occasion and this year was not exception, in fact it was so over subscribed that the Club has decided to hold another one in July for those ladies who failed to get into the main event.

The competition was played in teams of three with the two best scores to count.

The winners, pictured with the Lady Captain, Di Beningfield, were Fee Drew (Cottesmore), Sue Ponsford (Cuckfield) and Liz Dewar (Hayward’s Heath). 2nd place went to Alicia Phillips (East Sussex National) and Frances Comer and Meg Reed (both of Hayward’s Heath) on c/b. 3rd were Sue Wilson, & Aisling Cloonan (Hayward’s Heath) and Linda Laurie (Lindfield).
