Haywards Heath Harriers’ Ladies clinch athletics title
A fantastic afternoon of athletics on Saturday at Wimbledon Park saw Haywards Heath Harriers retain the Division 1 Southern Women’s League title for the second year running.
Despite some athletes being unavailable, a fantastic team effort saw them finish in second behind Hercules Wimbledon who won the meeting. However, the Harriers, who have battled closely with Wimbledon all season, took a lead of 184 points going into this last match which was enough for them to hold onto first and win the league by a massive 135.5 points.
