Local jockey has excellent 2009 tally of winners

ANGMERING jockey Paul Doe enjoyed an outstanding season in 2009, notching up his third-best tally of winners in a year, with 45 citories and 53 horses in the frame.

He started race riding 16 years ago as an apprentice with Lady Herries at Angmering Park whyen his first winner was Aitch N' Bee, a 14-1 shot, which won by a length at Warwick.

His 2009 efforts showed he is good as ever and he has already opened his 2010 account with a win on the all-weather at Lingfield Park.
