MAJOR SHOWJUMPING FINALS FOR GEORGIE
STEYNING-based showjumper Georgie Strutton, 18, has qualified for the Horse of the Year show at the NEC, Birmingham, later this year.
She has gained automatic qualification after finishing second out of more than 50 competitors in the Foxhunter Regional final at Newbury, Berkshire. It was only the first two competitiors who qualified for HOYS.
Strutton was jumping on Old Lodge's Little Miss 11. The class was jumped over three rounds with clears from each round going through to to a final jump against the clock. Of more than 50 starters, only 11 went through to the send round with just four making the final jump-off.
