MAKE MILO'S A DOUBLE

THREE GOALS in the opening six minutes of the second half ended up giving Arundel a comfortable win on Saturday.

Mullets had dominated the opening period at East Grinstead, without ever threatening to score. EG, though, twice forced Arundel keeper Ben O'Connor into excellent saves.

Just three minutes into the second half, Arundel took the lead. Miles Scerri won the ball from a EG defender, cut inside from the right, and held off a challenge, to net.

Within a minute, Mullets had struck again. Gary Norgate was through on goal, before being fouled in the penalty area, and Scerri sent EG's keeper the wrong way from the spot.

Two minutes later, the game was all over. Andy Boxall's cross from the right was only half-cleared to Jason Wimbleton who rifled the ball low into the bottom corner from 15 yards.

Arundel boss Wayne Flynn said: "In the first half, we had loads of possession but the final ball kept letting us down. We spoke about it at half-time, then came out and got the three goals in no time.

"It was a good all-round team performance. Ben made two terrific saves, and Andy Boxall ran himself into the ground."
