Mullets make another first-round exit

Mullets exited every cup but the FA Vase in the first round last season and Short will be hoping his side can go on at least one cup run this campaign.

He said: "We played very well on Saturday but it was pretty poor on Monday. Chichester were a strong side but we just seem to be blowing hot and cold at the moment.

"If we don't play well then we don't deserve to win but to go out of a cup is disappointing.

"We're just not managing to get back-to-back wins but I'm sure we'll come good. Hopefully it was just a blip but we've got another tough one at Croydon Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday."
