Olympics trip helps to inspire hopefuls for 2012 Games

OLYMPIC hopefuls dressage rider Sarah Millis of Slinfold and show jumper Charlotte Platt of Henfield have returned to West Sussex from a trip to the 2008 Games.

They were among just nine riders from the World Class Development Programme '“ part of the British Olympic Ambition Programme '“ to be selected for the trip.

The aim was for potential London 2012 athletes to experience the Olympic Games not just from the perspective of their own sport but also the whole Games environment.

Charlotte went to Hong Kong with fellow show jumpers William Whitaker and Daniel Neilson and team leader Tina Goosen.
