And our friends at MyRacing have come up with some selections.

1pm – Conkwell Legend

1.30pm – Gustavian

2pm – Up The Straight

2.30pm – Certainly Red (nap)

3pm – Belle De Manech

3.30pm – Love The Leader

4pm – My Bad Lucy

1pm After more than two months off some confidence in the market would be welcomed, but CONKWELL LEGEND has solid form claims and he's bred to devour today's extra yardage. One formline suggests Beauport should be in close attendance so he's feared most, along with Bali Body, Delgany Monarch and Moroder.

1:30 A competitive handicap may go the way of GUSTAVIAN, on whom it's a good move to employ a 7lb claimer and ease his welter burden. He's an assured stayer but dropping back in trip won't harm, considering he can sometimes run with the choke out. Jaisalmer was well behind the selection here last time but he could come on for that and be involved, along with Hollywood Ken, Amelia's Dance and Bard Of Brittany.

2pm Barring accidents this is a straight match between UP THE STRAIGHT and Umbrigado, who were of similar ability over hurdles and both ran well in their completed starts over fences. Marginal preference is for Richard Rowe's gelding, who fared far better at Ascot than a 26l defeat may imply.

2:30 Cristal Spirit is worth taking on in his hat-trick bid, burdened with a penalty for beating a 50-1 chance at Plumpton. Lily The Pink and Kenny George can go well but ready preference is for CERTAINLY RED (nap). He has started the season by running sound races over further but there's good reason to believe this sort of distance suits him better, and especially under these demanding conditions.

3pm The penalty probably demands further improvement from BELLE DE MANECH but she impressed at Wincanton and the runner-up is held in high regard by her top connections. Useful bumper performer Allavina brings plenty of potential to the table and is feared most, ahead of Midnight Ginger. The market should provide some indication as to what's expected from Irish point winner Rock On Rita.

3:30 The fitting of a visor has reinvigorated the veteran LOVE THE LEADER and he escapes a penalty for his recent facile victory at Fakenham. Alternatives are thin on the ground, but Nessfield Blue should go well after a pleasing chase debut.

4pm Anthony Honeyball has an outstanding record in bumpers and it will be interesting to see which way his mares Rubys Reward and Swincombe Fleat go in the market. Nick Gifford's strike-rate in this sphere is more than adequate too, and his MY BAD LUCY makes a fair bit of appeal on paper. He gets the verdict just ahead of Bold Leader.
