Thrilling start to badminton event

THE annual Bexhill Badminton tournament got off to a thrilling start at the De La Warr Pavilion with the early matches producing some top quality performances.

Much of the county's finest talent battled it out in a number of gripping encounters as five titles were decided over the opening weekend in front of town mayor Cllr Peter Fairhurst who presented the trophies.

Event organiser Brian Hobden said: "It's been brilliant. The ladies doubles A final was a brilliant game and the kids were an absolute delight to work with."
