Tributes paid to master saddler Keith

KEITH Luxford, whose career as a master saddler brought him three royal warrants, died this month. He was in his 80s and lived in Worthing.

His funeral at Worthing Crematorium last Wednesday attracted large numbers of people who wanted to pay tribute to him.

He was president of the Society of Master Saddlers twice and was Master of The Worshipful Company of Saddlers.

During his career, he was awarded royal warrants from the Queen, Prince Charles and King Hussein of Jordan. He had two large saddlery shops at Teddington and Esher and was renowned for his high standards.
