United handed tough cup draws

SIDLEY United have been handed a pair of demanding cup draws to be played in the early phases of the new football season.

The Gullivers outfit face a tricky trip to East Grinstead, newly-promoted to Sussex Division One, in the first round of the Sussex Senior Cup with another away tie against Sidlesham, who ply their trade at the same level, awaiting the winners.

United will also be on the road in the Sussex RUR Cup, a competition in which they reached the final last year, as the draw has paired them with fellow top flight outfit Shoreham whom they visit on the opening day of the league campaign next Saturday.
