Historic Langney Priory has been put up for sale with an asking price of £500,000.
The Grade II* listed medieval period property, in Etchingham Road, requires substantial renovation, and together with a detached cottage and large outbuilding, is set in grounds of almost two acres.
The building was leased to a group and volunteers who had raised money to carry out some restoration and improvements to the garden and main house.
Historic Langney Priory Limited still hopes to renegotiate a new lease with the building’s owners instead of it being sold.
