The A26 in Newhaven is closed both ways following a collision.
According to traffic reports, the collision, which involved four cars and a van, happened at the Newhaven junction of the A26 and Avis Road.
Very slow traffic has been reported.
A diversion is in place via the B2109 for traffic in both directions.
