Elderly man taken to hospital with serious injuries following hit-and-run in Hailsham
A 74-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his neck, ankle and ribs following a hit-and-run in Hailsham, according to police.
Police said the incident happened at around 4.05pm on Wednesday, July 19, as the man was knocked off his pedal cycle in Hailsham Road, Magham Down, by a dark coloured vehicle.
A Sussex Police spokesperson added: “He suffered serious injuries including a fracture to the neck, ankle and ribs, and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
