Cyclist airlifted to hospital following Marden collision

A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a collision this morning (Thursday, August 27).

Police arrived at the scene in North Marden off the B2141 just after 10am following a collision between a cyclist and a car.

Motorists have been warned of the dangers of single lane roads.

A spokesman for Chichester Police said on Twitter: "Just attended an RTC car v cyclist in Marden. Single track country roads can be so hazardous. Drive/Cycle to arrive people! The cyclist has gone to hospital for treatment. #slowdown #beaware @SECAmbulance @SussexRoadsPol @airambulancekss #ATeamChi #DO069."
