Midhurst to host Summer Street Party

Midhurst is set to host the town’s annual Summer Street Party.

Excitement is building as Midhurst gets ready to host the town’s annual Summer Street Party this weekend.

From 11am to 3pm on Saturday, August 27, Midhurst Old Town will be packed with all different kinds of summer fun for everyone to enjoy with residents urged to come along and join in the fun.

Family fun and fairground rides will be on offer as well as live entertainment including performances from Rylee Spooner and Phil Holbird – as well as an appearance from Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Musicians Babyeleanor, The South Downs Ukes and The Silhouette Show alongside George Alfie and Hannah Barrs will also be performing on the day as well as The Stacey Bedford Dance troupe.

Younger visitors will also enjoy the offerings of Bubble Pop Hampshire which will be creating ‘an enjoyable bubble experience for all ages’ on the day as well.

Midhurst Town Council in a statement said: “Midhurst Town Council are delighted to welcome all to the second annual Summer Street Party on Saturday August 27 from 11am to 3pm.

“Visitors can enjoy quality live music, entertainment, fun and games on a wide range of stalls, fairground rides, penalty shoot outs, reptile encounters, craft activities, face painting and a range of artisan sellers.

“Our Midhurst high street heroes also get involved, with Midhurst local businesses offering special offers and in-store promotions on the day.

“Take the opportunity to enjoy some food and drink from a local business or one of our street food vendors.

“Parking is available at both The Grange car park and North Street car park.

"Please note, Knockhundred Row, Red Lion Street, Church Hill, Market Square and West Street are subject to road closures between 9am and 5pm.

The event is run by Midhurst Town Council’s event as part of the MADhurst Festival celebration.

The MADHurst Festival is a celebration of arts and creativity in the local community and will include many different events in the town, including Faustino’s Club Night on North Street and Shaylar’s Family Fun Fair at Midhurst Rother College
