Court results - Mid Sussex

Jean Pears, 82, of St Georges Park, Burgess Hill, was fined £40, with a £20 victim surcharge, £40 costs, and three penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to speeding.

Marc Richardson, 42, of Wharf Road, Stanford-le-Hope, was fined £180, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, and to driving without an MoT certificate, at Albourne.

Jeremy White, 44, of Crescent Road, Burgess Hill, was fined £305, with a £31 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding.

Jerome Anicet, 30, of Bonehurst Road, Horley, was given a ten week jail sentence, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of an early release from prison, and to breaching a criminal behaviour order by behaving in a way likely to cause harassment, being drunk and disorderly, having an open container of alcohol in public, and making a false call to emergency services, at Haywards Heath Station.

John Coburn, 48, of Henfield Road, Albourne, was banned from driving for 18 months, with a £500 fine, a £50 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Pyecombe.

Jason Edwards, 29, of Manning Close, East Grinstead, was fined £500, with £85 costs, a £20 victim surcharge, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and possessing a Class A drug (cocaine) at Crawley, and to resisting a police officer and obstructing a police officer at Pease Pottage.

Andrew Mitchell, 45, of Portland Road, Haywards Heath, was given a six month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault in Haywards Heath.

Jason Bishenden, 22, of Downlands, Partridge Green, was given a community order with a 16 week curfew, £500 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to exposing himself in Burgess Hill.

Mark Maynard, 29, of no fixed address, was banned from driving for six months, given a 20 week jail sentence suspended for 18 months, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £200 costs. He had pleaded guilty to possessing articles to use in theft, and been found guilty of possessing a bladed article, and driving without insurance, all at Hickstead.

Sam Heath, 26, of Bramble Gardens, Burgess Hill, was fined £293, with £60.42 vehicle excise back duty, and £90 costs. He had pleaded guilty to using an unlicensed vehicle on a public road.

Kevin Mottley, of Junction Road, Burgess Hill, was fined £440, with £120.84 vehicle excise back duty, and £90 costs. He had been convicted in his absence of using an unlicensed vehicle on a public road.

Nicole Woodward, 19, of West Park Crescent, Burgess Hill, was fined £440, with £90 vehicle excise back duty, and £90 costs. She had been convicted in her absence of using an unlicensed vehicle on a public road.

Gary Budd, 45, of Elizabeth Close, Bodmin, was fined £440, with £90 vehicle excise back duty, and £90 costs. He had been convicted in his absence of keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road at Lindfield.

Matthew Glen, 28, of Chapelfields, Cuckfield, was banned from driving for a year, with a £315 fine, a £31 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence, all at Gatwick Airport.

Aaron Revell, 26, of Brighton Road, Hurstpierpoint, was given a six month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault at Hurstpierpoint.

Gayle Reynolds, 46, of Streatham Road, Mitcham, was given a two year conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to theft of goods worth £765.28 Waitrose in Burgess Hill.

John Powell, 49, of Emsworth Close, Maidenbower, was banned from driving for a year, with a £120 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to driving with illegal levels of a cannabis metabolite in his blood, at Balcombe.

Alfie Smith, 22, of Osbourne Crescent, Chichester, was given a 20 week jail sentence, suspended for two years, with 80 hours of unpaid work, £350 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge, and £375 costs. He had been found guilty of burglary with intent to steal from a barn in Bolney, and of burglary of leaf blowers and water pumps from a golf club in Albourne.

James Williamson, 18, of Johnson Drive, Leighton Buzzard, was given a 20 week jail sentence, suspended for two years, with £175 compensation. He had been found guilty of burglary with intent to steal from a barn in Bolney, and of burglary of leaf blowers and water pumps from a golf club in Albourne.

Lutcheemonay Chinnarassen, 49, of America Lane, Haywards Heath, was given a one year conditional discharge, and a £15 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to an iPad security device at Sainsbury’s in Haywards Heath.

David Humphrey, 31, of Friars Close, Hassocks, was given a 12 week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence at Hassocks. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim.

John Ward, 26, of Temple Grove, Burgess Hill, was jailed for 26 weeks, with a one year driving ban, and an £80 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of driving without insurance, and to failing to stop for police, all in Burgess Hill, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge for theft.
